VIXI in 2021

Many things have happened in VIXI in 2021.

The lab has welcomed many new students: Dibya Sarkar, Shanker Ramesh, Ayush Jangida, Nazanin (Zan) Shamshiri, Sabrina Lakhdhir and Shakirul Islam have joined our team of graduate students.

In that time frame, we have secured research and infrastructure funding to get the lab going. This includes Sowmya Somanath’s NRC grant, Miguel Nacenta’s digital technology supercluster funding, and Charles Perin’s Mitacs cluster with LlamaZOO Inc, that are complementing our respective NSERC Discovery Grants. Our successful collective application to the Canadian Foundation for Innovation will allow us to conduct exciting research in a fully-equipped lab. More details to come soon about the equipment!
