Molly Stewart

MSc Student

I am a Master’s Student working under the supervision of Sowmya Somanath. I am interested in researching how technologies can be designed to encourage creativity and happiness. Particularly, I am looking to investigate how technology can facilitate happiness while at work.

Previous to moving to Victoria, I grew up in Ontario and completed a BSc. in Computing with a specialization in Cognitive Science from Queen’s University. In the course of my undergrad I gained skills in Computer Science, Psychology, and Linguistics. I discovered that HCI allows me to combine my multiple interests into a field where I can be both logical and creative.

Outside of academics, I enjoy getting out into nature and exploring the beautiful forests in Victoria! I also love creative activities, such as crochet, pottery and scrapbooking.
