I am Yichun Zhao, a PhD student in Computer Science at the University of Victoria. My main research area is in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) and Information Visualization (infoVis) with a focus on information accessibility for people with mixed abilities. I am interested in designing boundary objects and evaluating multiple modalities to communicate data and information in an accessible and effective way. I also aim to empower people with visual impairments to participate more fully in various aspects of life where data literacy is increasingly important.
